Safe Housing in India
The Safe Housing programme builds and repairs homes for people in India
who live in unsafe or inadequate conditions. A secure home is not a luxury —
it is the foundation from which everything else in a person’s life becomes
possible. This programme restores that foundation.
What Safe Housing provides.
Safe Housing is framed around dignity and safety, not construction.
We are not a contracting service — we are a community of volunteers
and donors who believe that everyone deserves a home that does not
collapse in the rain.
Support under this programme may include:
- New construction — building a basic, safe home for a family with no adequate shelter
- Structural repair — fixing a damaged or dangerous home so it is safe to live in
- Essential amenities — a functioning roof, door, safe floor, and weather-proofing
Every project is assessed for need, scope, and cost before we commit
to it. We work with the family to understand their situation and with
local builders or suppliers in India to ensure the work is done well.
